Reminiscent of the secluded island-style accommodation found along the African coast, the rustic chalets nestled beside the Letsatsing Game Park at Sun City have a new identity.

Now called the Bush Bungalows, they have been refreshed and the gardens that surround them have been rejuvenated. The restaurant has also enjoyed a soft refurbishment. The Bush Bungalows, formerly known as the Kwena Chalets, offer guests an authentic African experience, tucked away from the bustle of the resort while offering easy access to the diversity of activities and experiences that are available at Sun City. There are free shuttles to ferry guests around the resort where they can enjoy a vast array of entertainment, outdoor activities and restaurants. While staying at the Bush Bungalows, guests enjoy complimentary entrance to the Valley of Waves as well as Wi-Fi.

The Bush Bungalows were brought into the group’s fold in 2016 to further expand and diversify the accommodation options at Sun City. The Palace is a five-star hotel offering grand African luxury; the five-star Cascades offers secluded luxury, the four-star Soho is the resort’s lively Vegas-style hotel, and the three-star Cabanas provides contemporary, island-style accommodation. The resort’s timeshare offering, Sun Vacation Club, boasts self-catering accommodation with a choice of exciting amenities.

“In contrast, the Bush Bungalows offer an eclectic African-styled experience while keeping with the standard of quality and service that are synonymous with Sun City. In a serene setting, guests can enjoy the quietness of nature, while Sun City’s action is just a stone’s throw away,” says Thapelo Modise, Marketing Manager at Sun City.

Sun International’s Sun City remains one of South Africa’s premier vacation and entertainment destinations, drawing over one million visitors each year. Only an hour and a half drive from Pretoria, Sun City combines a choice of action-packed entertainment options for all ages, as well as opportunities to relax or explore the outdoors. It’s like escaping to another world without venturing too far.

The resort boasts a dazzling selection of over 30 restaurants, activities and two world class golf courses all conveniently situated within one secure and beautiful location. The Valley of Waves is great for sunbathing and is renowned for its wave pool and thrilling water slides. There are also a variety of water sports including jet skiing, parasailing and water skiing, available at Waterworld at the Cabanas hotel.

In addition, the resort offers a choice of sparkling pools, jogging trails; quad biking; floodlit tennis courts, guided tours of the resort on zippy Segways and one of the world’s longest Zip Slide – to mention just a few of the fun things to do at Sun City.
