Radisson Blu Gautrain

Only 92 metres from the Sandton Gautrain Station, this is possibly the most convenient venue for walkers. Extremely accessible, it will take just one minute to walk from the station to the hotel, which offers 220 rooms and suites, each with free high-speed wireless internet. With the Sandton Convention Centre only 500 metres away, it is an ideal choice for delegates staying over. The hotel has seven meeting rooms and two boardrooms, all with free Wi-Fi and the latest audiovisual technology, and can host up to 600 delegates in its largest space. An on-site bar and restaurant complete the offering. 

Radisson Blu Sandton

Just 550 metres or a seven-minute walk from the station, the Radisson Blu Sandton is in the heart of the business district. Only a stone’s throw from a variety of shopping centres, restaurants and the convention centre, the hotel boasts prime meeting and event space, including 15 well-equipped meeting rooms as well as a 95-seat auditorium. This business hotel can handle more than 250 delegates in its various spaces, depending on the configuration. Sandton Sun

A mere 750 metres or 11-minute walk from the Gautrain Station, the Sandton Sun is synonymous with style. This luxury hotel offers a choice of 326 spacious and superbly appointed en-suite rooms and suites, and a ritzy terrace for dining. A bar and upscale restaurant complete the package. Seven separate business suite meeting rooms are available and the conference facilities cater for groups of up to 200 delegates. Located on Nelson Mandela Square, this superb five-star hotel in the heart of Sandton is the epitome of luxury and style. The Michelangelo Hotel is only 290 metres, or a four-minute walk, from the Gautrain Station and provides easy access to the convention centre, restaurants, cinemas, shops and theatres. The hotel offers 242 suites and rooms, as well as world-class conferencing and event facilities in a stylish and elegant setting. Six conferencing venues are available that can host up to 250 delegates, depending on the configuration. Each of the venues is equipped with a data projector and screen and other standard conferencing equipment.

Garden Court Sandton City

This property is 450 metres (a six-minute walk) from the Gautrain Station and has two meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 16 people. Each is fitted with standard equipment, but additional items such as LCD screens, conferencing phones and DVD players are available on request. The venues are ideal for smaller-type meetings or workshops. Situated adjacent to the Sandton Convention Centre, Garden Court Sandton City is an ideal choice for accommodation, with 444 contemporary en-suite rooms available.

InterContinental Johannesburg Sandton Towers

Just a stone’s throw from the station, this hotel has 231 luxury rooms offering business travellers a contemporary, convenient and luxurious stay while in Johannesburg. The InterContinental Johannesburg Sandton Towers is about 650 metres from the Gautrain Station, or a nine-minute walk. Although there are no meeting facilities at InterContinental Johannesburg Sandton Towers, corporate guests are offered the use of the meeting facilities of both the Sandton Sun and Sandton Convention Centre.

Protea Hotel by Marriott Balalaika

Described as a tranquil oasis for business travellers, this hotel is 700 metres from the station (a nine-minute walk). Its 330 guest rooms and suites offer classic, comfortable accommodation, while two restaurants provide exceptional on-site dining. The hotel has nine conferencing venues and three boardrooms that offer different configurations, from intimate gatherings for a handful of people to 350 in its largest space. The Stables

Serene and private, The Stables has capacity for up to 20 delegates in its executive boardroom and is available from 08h00 to 17h00 during weekdays. Situated 700 metres or a brisk nine-minute walk from the station, it is the ideal setting for small business meetings or conferences. The facility offers catering in accordance with the individual requirements of delegates. The focus at this intimate venue is undoubtedly on meeting the personal needs of every delegate.

Park Inn by Radisson

While it is not as close to the Gautrain Station as many of the other hotels (at 1.1km it is only a 13-minute walk), a free shuttle is available every 30 minutes. The four boardrooms and two conference rooms are versatile and fitted with the necessary audiovisual equipment and free wireless high-speed internet. Rooms can be combined and configured to accommodate larger groups, and an outdoor terrace space is also available. The boardrooms can host up to 12 guests each and the conference venue can handle up to 140 delegates. The hotel has 273 modern rooms for guests staying over and business-friendly rooms are also available on request, which have the standard amenities but have been designed with the business traveller in mind and comes with a larger work space and free wireless high-speed internet.

Southern Sun Katherine Street

Set in beautiful gardens only 900 metres or an 11-minute walk from the station, the hotel offers business-friendly accommodation in its 122 spacious en-suite rooms. A boardroom, as well as two larger conference rooms have facilities that can cater for groups of between eight and 50 delegates. Conference rooms are available at a daily fee, which includes venue hire, standard conference equipment including screens and flip charts, and refreshments. An outside pool terrace is also available for cocktail type events.
