Mission Possible: Adventure In The North West!
Horseback riding at Saddle Creek Adventures

Put on your most comfortable clothes and sneakers and make your way to Saddle Creek Adventures for a day filled with rides, rides and more rides!

Deciding on the perfect gift for your adventure-loving partner can a bit of a mission. This called for a Google search and fortunately I didn’t have to go that far. Just a few clicks led me to the Saddle Creek Adventures website, where I came across fantastic adventure combos for my adrenaline-junkie partner! After a warm email exchange with Heidi, who was quick to answer all my questions and allay any fears I might have, I booked a Sunday Funday package.

Go-karting

A misty drive through the mountains took us to the venue, where we found the staff already awaiting our arrival. We quickly read through and signed the indemnity forms, before our guide for the day, Bright from Malawi, led us to begin what would be the best surprise I could ever have organised for the birthday boy. First we took a 90-minute horseback ride through the bushveld before we took to the go-karts and quad bikes, which is not as easy as it looks! My ride was super bumpy as I got acquainted with the accelerator and drove into thorny bushes, but all’s well that ends well and we finished off the morning with a private picnic set up in the bush.
