The Vhembe region of Limpopo is centred on the Soutpansberg, South Africa’s northernmost mountain range, which rise in the arid west near the little bushveld town of Alldays and heads east for some 120km in a series of dramatic peaks and gorges towards rainy, subtropical Thohoyandou.

Known as the Land of Legend, Vhembe is steeped in the rich cultural traditions of the Venda and Xitsonga (Shangaan) people and offers great scenic beauty. Think ancient baobabs and blue-green hills, bright green tea plantations, sacred lakes and waterfalls.
